Aims & Objectives

1. To provide a broad and balanced curriculum in a caring and stimulating environment. 2. To encourage the enthusiasm to learn and develop self-esteem, tolerance and an enquiring mind. 3. To provide a curriculum which caters for the needs of the individual child irrespective of gender, ethnicity, creed, social circumstances or level of ability. 4. To develop responsibility and an awareness of self, in relation to both the environment and the society in which we live.
5. To recognise the needs and talents of each pupil and to facilitate the development of the whole child: creatively, intellectually, morally, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially. 6. The develop self-discipline, co-operation and respect for others. 7. To regularly monitor and evaluate the school's effectiveness in our constance quest for improvement. 8. To develop effective management, so that the school provides each child with full "value for money" through structured teaching. |

Staff and Governors recognise that these aims and objectives are difficult to achieve but, in full partnership with the children's families, will strive always to provide the best possible education.

- School Sports Co-ordinator Scheme (including Huff & Puff initiative for healthy playtimes)
- Endeavours to involve parents and the wider community - Neighbourhood Project, Churches etc
- On-site links with Moat Pre-School and All Our Friends After-school Club
- Range of extra curriculum activites
- Involvement with Extended Services provison
- Forest School and woodland camping expeditions for older children
- UFA - Super Learning Day and Summer Challenge
- Peer Tutoring links with local secondary schools - Central Technology College, Beaufort.
- Involvement with initiatives such as Healthly Schools, PLP, ISP, Learning for Living.
